Brightening my day!

Hey there! It's been rainy and gloomy here in SE PA for almost two weeks. I'm waving the white flag!! Enough already, please!!

I loved the Tuesday Morning sketch so much that I created another card using it.

One of my favorite type of cards to send are thank you cards. I think sending thank you notes are so important! Sending one to a friend who helps brighten your day is extra special!! Where we would be without those kind of friends in our lives?

This card uses the cloud die from the Basic Borders die set. This is a stand alone die set that is easily missed in the catalog, which is a shame! I use these dies all. the. time! They can be found on page 162 of the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

As is often the case, I see something in the catalog and think, "Meh! I don't like/want that." And then I see other people's creations and fall in love!! It's a vicious cycle. hahaha! That was the case with these dies, as well as the Hey Chuck bundle, which is where the sun came from. The Balmy Blue cardstock is embossed with the Rainy Day embossing folder.

Hope you're having a great day! Thanks for visiting!

TTTC214 and TMS712

Hey there! Happy Monday!

I'm submitting today's card to two challenges: Tuesday Morning Sketches and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, both shown below:

I went right down the center for the Tic Tac Toe challenge using patterned paper, flowers, and enamel dots. Here's my card:

Anyone who knows me knows that pink is my all-time favorite color. I even have pink flats that I wear to work at least once a week! Pink, black, and white is a favorite color combo. Through in a splash of Costal Cabana and we're all set!

The Two-Toned Floral set is a great two-step stamping set from Stampin' Up! You can build such beautiful blooms and bouquets with these flower stamps. I used one of the Basic Borders dies to cut a decorative edge from Coastal Cabana cardstock. The sentiment is a favorite of mine from the Crafting With You bundle.

Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

FMS591 Little Bit Late

Ahhh! A little bit late ...that's me!

I love this sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches:

I have challenged myself to participate in at least two challenges each week. Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorite challenges!

My Aunt Sandy taught me the art of sending handwritten cards and letters. We have always lived pretty far away from each other. From the time I was a little girl, she always sent me cards. I can still remember the excitement of getting my very own mail!! I've been a "happy mail" addict ever since!

Who doesn't need a belated birthday card from time to time? I mail a TON of birthday cards every year. Try as I might to get them in the mail on time, sometimes life gets in the way.

I used the now retired Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and Dandy Designs DSP. I topped it off with some Fresh Fressia ribbon and adhesive-backed sequins.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a great weekend!

Taking the plunge!

Hello there!

My name is Shawn and I live in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, which is in Southern Lancaster County. I'm dipping my toe back into the blog world. I've been toying with the idea for several months and finally decided to take the plunge!

I've been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2004, with a few breaks in between. I began stamping in the Fall of 2003, making our Christmas cards. I was HOOKED and signed up to be a Demonstrator several months later! Stamping is like therapy for me. It's my creative outlet and is so soothing. I am very blessed to have a whole room dedicated to my craft. It's my happy place!!

We have three grown children who are all artists. We also have three dogs and two cats! Now that we are (mostly) empty nesters and have more time, I have been challenging myself to get out of my comfort zone and push myself creatively. I hope you'll join me for the journey!
